About Me

About Aaron

For many clients, what they REALLY seek in a section like this is  to answer the question "Is Aaron a good fit for ME?" . Most of the clients who find me end up telling me they ultimately appreciate a counselor who is honest with them, so I will start that tone here. The best way for us to find out  if we are a fit is to just start a conversation.

With that being said,  here's a bit about me:   I'm the type of guy that will listen deeply to your story, but I also get nervous if we go tooo long without exploring new changes or skills. I like the occasional dad joke in a session.  I encourage clients to "lay all their cards on the table" and to do so without worrying about me censoring their language, or fussing about them for cursing, or judging them. Ive been at this work for a while, and clients often tell me how grounding it is that I don't feel thrown off by the "curve balls" that get shared in session. I value honesty, mutual accountability, gentle humor, flexibility in the counseling room.
